Using e-resources and off-campus access

Electronic resources marked with etäkäyttö are available

  • via off-campus access: click on the database link and log in with your University of Oulu user ID (Haka Login),
  • in Oulu University network. See OpenVPN, Eduroam.

Some databases are freely accessible online.

It is important that you know how to find scientific information and how to evaluate it.

Business school's own databases

Thomson Reuters Eikon

is a financial data platform which includes data on financial markets, companies' (especially listed companies') financial data, financial news, macro data etc.

Includes for example Datastream, Worldscope, , I/B/E/S, Asset4, SDC Platinum databases.

Access for master's students in accounting, finance and economics only. The Eikon database is on a computer located in the Pegasus Library's text book collection.

Details about password to log in the computer and how to access data from Thomson Reuters is available on Moodle course Master’s Thesis Process in OBS in finding data for research section.
Students can get enrolled in the course by asking their supervisor or from Moodle course co-ordinator Kaisa Pihlaja.
