1. Choose Log In in PubMed front page.
2. Choose Sign up (at the bottom of the page) -> Create new NCBI Account.
3. PubMed uses 3rd-Party login. Choose from alternatives shown or click "more sign up options", to use University of Oulu authentication (SSO).
You can save your search and create an alert in search history by clicking the three dots (Actions) and choosing Create alert.
When saving your search, you can choose to get email updates (alerts) of your new search results.
You can save citations in My NCBI account. Choose Send to -> My Bibliography or Collections and save all or chosen citations. Saving citations in Clipboard is temporary - save citations permanently by exporting them to a reference management system or save citations in My NCBI account.
Saved citations, favorites, search filters and recent activity are shown in My NCBI account.
