Oxford Academic

  • Sisältää Oxford University Press -kustantamon e-lehtiä ja e-kirjoja eri tieteenaloilta.
  • Oulun yliopiston ostamat julkaisut saa esille valitsemalla hakutuloksesta eli haun jälkeen Availability: All content I have access to.
  • E-kirjoja luetaan selaimessa. Ei rajoituksia samanaikaisten käyttäjien määrässä.

Hakeminen

  • Haku kohdistuu oletuksena myös julkaisujen kokoteksteihin. Hakutuloksessa voi  kohdistaa tarkemmin.
  • Oulun yliopiston käytössä olevat julkaisut saa esille valitsemalla All content I have access to.
  • Katkaisumerkkiä ei tarvita: ethic > ethic, ethics, ethical.
  • Sanojen hakeminen peräkkäin on fraasihaku: artificial intelligence.
  • AND-operaattori kirjoitettava isoilla kirjaimilla: artificial intelligence AND ethic.
  • Käytössä myös tekoälytyökalu AI Discovery Assistant.

Oxford Academic

  • Contains e-books and e-journals in different fields.
  • To view only the book titles the University of Oulu has purchased, choose the filter option Availability: All content I have access to.

Using the e-books

  • Books can be read online via a browser.
  • No restrictions on the number of concurrent users.

Search tips

  • The search default is set to search the full bibliographic record (all indexed fields) including the full text. 
  • The wildcard character is not necessary: ethic > ethic, ethics, ethical.
  • Using quotes for “exact phrase matches” is not necessary: artificial intelligence.
  • Boolean operator must be entered in UPPERCASE to work: artificial intelligence AND ethic.
  • AI Discovery Assistant can also be used for searching.
