Oulu University Library is one of EDC Libraries in Finland. The role of EDC (European Documentation Centre) is to:

• support EU related teaching and research
• give access to EU information for higher education and wider local community 
• contribute to the discussion on the EU matters

The Europe Direct information service answers general questions about the EU. The service is provided free of charge in all the official languages ​​of the Union. You can contact the service by phone or by sending a question online.

Local Europe Direct Information Points (EDICs) are an important channel of interaction for the European Union. They provide information on local priorities and objectives of the EU. In Oulu this service is provided by Council of Oulu Region, in Poratie 5 A.
