Library e-books

We try to acquire books in e-versions whenever possible. Some books can be read by many users at the same time, while others can only be read by one user at a time.

Reading e-books

You can either read e-books in your browser or download them to your own computer or mobile device.

See also guide for e-books: E-books (OU) / Ebooks (Oamk)

What if the book or article you need is not in the Oulu University Library?

You can request material for loan free of charge from the National Repository Library via Oula-Finna: see instructions for University of Oulu students and staff / Oamk students and staff

You can also make acquisition suggestions to the library.

Google Scholar is a useful tool for searching Open Access publications that you cannot find in the library collections. However, always remember to critically evaluate Open Access sources!

The interlibrary loan service searches and orders publications for loan and photocopies of publications that are not available at Oulu University Library. The service is fee-based.

You can also use public libraries, Outi Libraries in Oulu.
