Need help finding search terms?
Before conducting a search, think about what terms are closely related to your topic. The most important sources for finding search terms are controlled and structured vocabularies, also called thesauri. Thesauri are used for describing documents in databases. In addition, you can use different dictionaries.
Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) is a structured thesaurus in the domain of medicine.
YSO - General Finnish Ontology
General Finnish Ontology YSO is a trilingual ontology (Finnish, Swedish and English) consisting mainly of general concepts. YSO has been founded on the basis of concepts in Finnish cultural sphere.
Includes medical terms in Finnish and Finnish-English-Finnish dictionary.

Mot Kielipalvelu contains dictionaries, machine translation and proofreading. MOT Dictionaries cover both general language vocabulary as well as specialist vocabulary, for example from the fields of medicine, technology, commerce, economics, and law.
E-resources remote access
Electronic material acquired by the library can be used even outside the network of Oamk, for instance from home. Only students and staff of Oamk are allowed remote access.
