Objectives: Upon completion of the course, the student can search scientific information, can use the most important databases of their discipline, knows how to evaluate search results and information sources and understands the importance of reference management.
Contents: Scientific information retrieval process: finding search terms, the most important databases and publication channels of the discipline, evaluation of the reliability of information sources and reference management.
Teaching methods: Lectures 6 h and self-study 21 h.

Assessment criteria: Passing the course requires attendance at lectures and completion of the course assignments.
Assessment scale: Pass/fail. Pass corresponds to a grade of 3.
