  • Sisältää e-kirjoja eri tieteenaloilta.
  • Oulun yliopiston käytössä olevat e-kirjat ja open access -kirjat Content I have access to.
  • Kirjoja luetaan selaimessa käyttöliittymän omalla lukuohjelmalla, jossa myös kuuntelumahdollisuus.
  • E-kirjat on saatavissa ja ladattavissa PDF- ja EPUB3-muodossa.
  • Kirjoilla ei ole laina-aikaa eikä rajoituksia samanaikaisten käyttäjien määrässä.

Hakeminen

  • Haku kohdistuu oletuksena myös julkaisujen kokoteksteihin. Advanced Search -haussa on mahdollista kohdistaa haku tarkemmin.
  • Katkaisumerkki: asteriski eli tähtimerkki *: cyberbull*  > cyberbully, cyberbullied, cyberbullies, cyberbullying
  • Katkaisumerkkiä ei voi laittaa sanan alkuun (*tension) eikä lainausmerkkien sisään ("tobacco smok*"). 
  • Sanaliitot lainausmerkeissä: "heart attack"
  • Boolen operaattorit isoilla kirjaimilla: "artificial intelligence" OR ai OR "machine learning"
  • Oletusoperaattori AND: plastic* recycl*

  • You can exclude titles that are not accessible to you by selecting the search results by clicking ‘Filter By: Content I have access to’. By default, selecting this option will include Open Access content.
  • You can read and listen to e-books in the browser.
  • You can download e-books and e-book chapters in PDF and EPUB format.
  • No restrictions on the number of concurrent users.

Search Tips

  • The search default is set to search the full bibliographic record (all indexed fields) including the full text. Use the Advanced Search to create a more structured query, searching across different fields. 
  • Use an asterisk (*) to represent zero or more characters: cyberbull*  > cyberbully, cyberbullied, cyberbullies, cyberbullying
  • Wildcards cannot be used at the start of a search term (*tension) or when searching for phrases in quotes ("tobacco smok*"). 
  • To search for a phrase, put the terms in quotes: "heart attack"
  • Boolean operators must be entered in UPPERCASE to work: "artificial intelligence" OR ai OR "machine learning"
  • If more than one term is entered, and no operators are specified, terms are searched using AND: plastic* recycl*
